A lot of important things happened in 1974, the year this hip split-level was built on an inviting wooded lot in burgeoning Booker Creek. Nixon resigned. ABBA burst on the music scene with the hit Waterloo. While brick layers laid the brick on this house, down the road at Carmichael Auditorium, Dean Smith told his players, You are going to win. And the present owner has preserved so many of those great details while updating the details that makes modern living easy. The 70s were an interesting design era, in that carpet was kind of a big deal. But hardwoods really suit this home better, and those were installed in 2016, when she purchased the home. Masonite was someone's bright idea that soon dimmed, so the siding is now HardiePlank while the brick veneer was preserved but painted with Romabio masonry paint in 2021.
